Volunteering
At Young Bristol, we believe that volunteering is a powerful way for young people to gain valuable experience, build confidence, and make a real difference in their communities. We work in a variety of ways to help young people discover the benefits of volunteering, either as a one-off experience, or as part of a more involved multi-activity programme.

These include working with schools to set up peer mentoring programmes, running volunteering taster days for young people to try volunteering for the first time, and working with vulnerable groups of young people who can often be isolated, giving them the opportunity to get involved volunteering.
We run monthly volunteer taster days where you can get the chance to try out volunteering and meet the YB staff.
If you are an organisation that can offer volunteering opportunities to young people, we would love to hear from you.
For more information and details of how to get involved, please contact Claire or Stacey on 0117 953 7921 .
Young Bristol also support young people to volunteer within our organisation whenever possible. Kinga has been getting experience doing an admin placement with us in the office, she has also been taking part in volunteer activities including conservation at Tyntesfield National Park. Here is a comment from Kinga.....
Hi! My name is Kinga!
I am a student at the City Of Bristol College. I am on a Vocational Access Programme. I am on work placement at Young Bristol. I have been learning office skills. I really enjoy my work experience because the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have learned lots of new things such as shredding, spreadsheets, date base and filing.
