As a volunteer, you also have some responsibilities to:

• Talk about any concerns with your supervisor or support worker as soon as possible.
• Be honest and realistic about your commitment, suitability and availability for the volunteering that you want to do
• Act upon guidelines or procedures from the organisation where you’re volunteering.
• Act in accordance with equal opportunities and best practice policies
• Attend any necessary training and induction process.
• Be responsible for your volunteering and do it safely.
• Maintain discipline, work as part of a team, respect confidences, support other volunteers, don’t undermine other people & set a good example.
• Be reliable – turn up when you say you will, and if you can’t turn up, let the organisation know in good time.
