If you volunteer in Bristol or South Gloucestershire you could complete an award for your volunteering. Completing volunteering awards can benefit you by:
- Helping you to work out what skills and experience you have gained – making it much easier when you come to write it on your CV or UCAS application.
- Helping you to demonstrate in interviews what volunteering you have done and what skills and experience you have gained.
- Prove that you have gained practical experience (something all employers ask for, but many people find hard to gain and prove).
- Make you stand out above others.
- Provide an opportunity for your volunteer co-ordinator to give you a reference.
What awards could you get?
vthankyou – recognises any volunteering you do, however small.
v50 – complete 50 hours of volunteering in a 12 month period and get a certificate.
