National Citizen Service

Young Bristol is delivering the National Citizen Service (NCS) in Bristol.  The service is a central government programme for young people in years 11 and 12 during the summer holiday or October half term.

The programme mixes outdoor activities with volunteering and community action, and it's completely free!

The programme starts with a residential week at a venue outside Bristol, where you will take part in a range of adventurous activities as part of a team of 15.  You'll then come back into Bristol for week 2, which is again a residential week, finding out more about your city, and what makes it tick.

From week 3 onwards, you and your team-mates will design and carry out your own social action project, really getting under the skin of where you live, and making a real difference.

We've got 75 places up for grabs on the programme, so if you are in years 11 or 12, or know someone who is, get in touch.
